MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The National Sales Manager for Trade and Retail will be responsible for directing, coaching and mentoring the divisional sales team to achieve profitable sales in line with the sales budget set by the company. They will be required to efficiently manage and monitor weekly call plans and reporting procedures providing accurate and on-time forecasts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Set, manage and monitor individual and team targets for the Trade and Retail division.
• Produce accurate and on-time budgets, forecasts and reporting for the Sales Director.
• Develop a strong understanding of the sectors, prospects’ and customers’ strategies.
• Develop in depth knowledge of our product and services portfolio.
• Prospect and secure new customers and opportunities alongside existing account management.

THE INDIVIDUAL:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious National Sales Manager to join the team.

They should:

• Be an experienced Sales Manager with both B2B and B2C experience within the construction sector
• Have strong leadership skills with the ability to hold themselves and their team to account
• Have demonstrable experience in setting and achieving targets
• Have excellent communication skills at all levels
• Be positive
• Be resilient and self-motivated
• Be empathetic
• Conduct themselves with a high degree of professionalism
• Have experience using a CRM system
