Stage 2: Search - Casting the net far and wide

True executive search and headhunting is highly proactive and identifies ‘passive’ prospective candidates.  They are not typically searching for a role and sit on job board databases.

Stage 3: Selection of the very best

Your people make or break your business, so it’s vital that you have exactly who you need and not leave anything to chance. Surprisingly, it is often the case that the more senior the role the less evidence based assessment is conducted yet, at a graduate level extensive competency assessments and testing are utilised as part of the process.

An assumption is made that experience equals success and a series of often highly subjective interviews seal the deal, only to find that behaviourally they are a misfit.

At Discovery we turn it on its head. Our approach is uniform. Potential candidates for any executive role undertake a series of assessments and interventions that evidence their suitability and capability just like a graduate or early careers applicant.

We deliver a short-list of candidates who are chosen based on their fit for the role and your organisation.  Your final assessment of these candidates is orchestrated through a range of options: from a series of supported and structured interviews, to an intensive experiential assessment centre.

Our Executive Assessment Centres are the more favoured approach, removing any unconscious bias and reducing the risk of hiring based solely on instinct. They provide you with the objective evidence you need to make those all-important decisions.

Stage 4: Aptitude Testing & Profiling

At Discovery we utilise a range of tools to add context to support any hiring decisions. From understanding a candidates intellectual capability to their relative pace and alignment to your business, we are able to guide you on how this may impact to your business, their long term predicted behaviours and likely performance in role with such information.

Stage 5: Behavioural Interviewing - not just skills assessment

Ultimately how someone behaves determines their success within their role. Having a congruent benchmark enables Discovery to provide you with a uniqueness to this process, not seen in this field. Utilising the only three-dimensional biologically based profiling tool we are able to not only identify the behaviours that are most appropriate for the role and your business, but we are able to identify the ‘magnitude’ of such behaviours and how these may manifest within your business.

When comparing an applicants profile to your benchmark we can create a series of bespoke interview questions that focus on their behaviours that enables you to be confident that the hires you make truly are a match for your business.
